Raven began her Pilates journey for cross-training as an aspiring professional dancer. Throughout 20 years of classical ballet and contemporary jazz training, college dance company, and a short stint as a professional dancer in musical theatre and pro sports, Pilates was an essential part of Raven’s routine. It supported her through the demands of long rehearsals and performances by building strength, mobility, alignment, and body awareness.However, when Raven transitioned into a career as a data analyst in the tech industry, her commitment to Pilates deepened as she discovered its functional benefits for every day health and longevity. She started teaching mat Pilates in 2020 and pursued comprehensive teacher training in 2022.Raven completed her Balanced Body Comprehensive Training with Master Instructor Melissa Kakavas. She has continued to expand her knowledge through advanced education, including the Fusion Pilates Apprenticeship with Jennifer Gianni and workshops focusing on elderly clients, athletes, advanced anatomy, and more. Raven is passionate about improving quality of life through movement and volunteers her time by teaching pro-bono mat classes at her church.Raven aims to help clients move with ease, restore and maintain balance, and prevent injury. You can expect to leave a session feeling uplifted, encouraged, and cared for.
